Donald Trump i Władimir Putin przeprowadzili we wtorek godzinną rozmowę telefoniczną poświęconą przede wszystkim możliwości zakończenia wojny na Ukrainie.

Według doradcy Kremla Jurija Uszakowa przywódcy USA i Rosji omówili rezultaty ostatnich wizyt amerykańskich wysłanników Steve’a Witkoffa i Jareda Kushnera w Moskwie i Kijowie.

Uszakow przekazał, że Putin zapewnił Trumpa, iż Rosja „nie ma wrogich planów wobec Europy”. Prezydent USA miał natomiast zaproponować odbudowę podczas swojej kadencji „normalnych relacji” między Stanami Zjednoczonymi a Rosją. Według Kremla Putin poparł tę propozycję.

Trump miał koncentrować się podczas rozmowy na możliwościach szybkiego zakończenia działań wojennych na Ukrainie. Nie poinformowano jednak o żadnych konkretnych ustaleniach ani porozumieniu.

Rozmowa odbyła się po serii spotkań amerykańskich wysłanników z obiema stronami konfliktu. W sobotę Witkoff i Kushner spotkali się w Moskwie z Putinem. Trwające ponad trzy godziny rozmowy dotyczyły zakończenia wojny, ale także przyszłych stosunków gospodarczych między Rosją i USA.

Dzień później amerykańscy negocjatorzy rozmawiali w Kijowie z prezydentem Wołodymyrem Zełenskim. Ukraiński przywódca poinformował, że omawiano możliwe zakończenie wojny, krótkoterminowe wsparcie dla Ukrainy oraz nowe propozycje dotyczące kolejnego etapu negocjacji pokojowych.

Na razie nie wiadomo, czy seria rozmów doprowadziła do zbliżenia stanowisk Moskwy i Kijowa.
